I'm really enjoying the theme design of your website. Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility issues? A handful of my blog audience have complained about my site not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox. Do you have any solutions to help fix this problem? John

This was the first year of the Joliet West Band and the first year in a century that girls were allowed to be band members. Cindy Little and I were the first girls. Happy to see that there are many more today.

Subject:Congratulations
To All Who Put Today's Concert Together: Having attended the concert this afternoon at Joliet Central, I must extend my congratulations to all who put so much effort into putting this tremendous program together - the Board, the organizers, the directors, the players, the schools, etc., etc. The result was a memorable performance, and one that I'll remember for a long, long time. I graduated in the Class of '47, after moving to Joliet in '45 and becoming a member of the band immediately. I graduated from Joliet Junior College in January '49, and I haven't been back in the school since then. What memories - and how much has changed. My wife and daughter were with me, and I'm glad they got to see the school, and particularly glad they got to hear the concert. I've never been so proud to have been a member of the Greatest Band in the World. And all of the folks putting this on are the ones that made me proud. I was amazed at how many former band members were in attendance. I was also amazed at the obvious love of the band, and the pride they had in the band, of the Joliet folks who were there. It was very heart-warming. Thanks for the performance, and thanks for the memories. Bob Jones
